Welcome to Wesley House

This historic building, dating from 1437, takes its name from the fact that John Wesley stayed here twice, first in 1755 and again in 1779. The room in which he stayed is called "The Preacher's Room". The history of providing a warm welcome and accommodation for guests goes back a long way and the present day Wesley House continues this proud tradition by offering a high standard of comfort and service to our guests.

Each of our bedrooms is individually decorated to suit its location and aspect. Many include period features from this 15th Century building such as exposed beams. Four of our rooms are double with two twin rooms available, Preacher's and Sandy Hollow. One of the double rooms, Almsbury, offers guests a private terrace on which to enjoy a quiet cup of tea or where they can relax in the sun with a book.

All of our rooms have the comfort of our guests in mind and offer great facilities as standard. You will have tea and coffee making facilities, a telephone and colour television. All of our rooms have en-suite shower rooms.

For dining you have a choice between our restaurant, which has an excellent reputation for high quality food and drink, or a more informal style of dining in our wine bar.

The Restaurant offers fixed price 2 or 3 course lunch and dinner menus, and whatever your taste we are confident that you will find something delicious to suit! The restaurant has an excellent local reputation and also attracts diners from further afield. Our food is freshly prepared with high quality ingredients and service is provided by attentive and helpful staff.

The dining room is full of charm and atmosphere, making the most of the character of the building in which it is set. The old sits comfortably with the new as we have recently added an air conditioned atrium to make the most of the stunning views towards Sudeley Castle. If your stay with us is connected to a particular event, we will happily discuss catering arrangements for your party to ensure your event goes without a hitch.

For a slightly different style of meal and atmosphere you are welcome to visit our wine bar and grill. This stylish venue offers a fantastic array of wine and other drinks alongside more informal, but equally tasty, food including freshly prepared tapas, fish or grills. The atmosphere of our wine bar is more contemporary and its popularity gives it a buzzing and lively atmosphere in which to enjoy the company of others.

Wesley House offers a great location for a short break for those wanting to explore the area or as a stay-over for walkers heading along the Cotswold Way National Trail. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
