Hambutts Mynd is a building with quite a varied history! Originally constructed in the 1700s as a corn mill (operated by wind power) the building later became Painswick Girls School before finally becoming the welcoming guesthouse it is today.

Hambutts Mynd occupies a fantastic location on the edge of Painswick village and all of our bedrooms offer superb views across the area. Our bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable with a high standard of facilities and fittings throughout. All of our bedrooms are en-suite and offer tea and coffee making facilities and colour television. For the additional comfort of our guests we provide electric blankets during the autumn/winter months.

Hambutts Mynd occupies a good location from which to explore the area including Bath, Bristol, Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham. We are also very well placed to provide convenient accommodation for walkers travelling along the Cotswold Way National Trail. Whatever the duration or purpose of your visit, you can be assured of a warm welcome from your hosts and comfortable accommodation.

Breakfast is prepared for our guests using fresh ingredients and we can offer a range of breakfast options to suit your preference and any particular dietary needs you have. Breakfast is served in our comfortable dining room where guests can chat about their plans for the day ahead whilst enjoying their meal.

Well behaved dogs are welcomed at Hambutts Mynd and there is ample parking for guests at the front of the property. We are happy to welcome guests all year round. Smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms but guests may smoke in the lounge or outside the property.
