Little Sodbury and Sodbury Camp
The church in this quiet village was responsible for a great upheaval in English religion. The preaching in this church was the catalyst for William Tyndale's decision to translate the Bible into English – making it accessible to everyone. St Adeline's Church is also unique in that no other church in Britain is dedicated to that saint.

Little Sodbury may be considered a lucky place to live! It is one of just four villages in Gloucestershire to be termed “thankful villages”. The reason behind this can be found hanging in St Adeline's church. Six villagers left to fight in the Great War (1914 – 18) and all returned safely to give thanks.
Sodbury Camp
This wonderfully preserved hill fort is well worth spending time to explore. The Cotswold Way passes right through the centre of this impressive ramparted hill fort. The level of preservation is such that visitors may gain a good appreciation of the scale of this ancient place when it would have been in use – as well as the obstacles facing those who might consider attacking it!
The location of this and other forts along the Cotswold Way is testament to our ancestor's eye for using the natural landscape to their advantage, both for defence and to make a statement of ownership.
