Cotswold Way Accommodation

The Cotswold Way

North Nibley

North Nibley is a small village approximately half way between Dursley and Wotton. This quiet village is dominated by one of the Cotswold's best known landmarks, the William Tyndale Memorial, a tower erected on a promontory in memory of the martyr killed for translating the bible into English. You will find a pub opposite the entrance to the steep ascent to where the monument stands. Walkers may well find it a good place to take a brief rest and refreshment.

Between Nibley and Wotton-Under-Edge the Cotswold way passes through a large and unspoiled section of native deciduous woodland offering a shaded section of the walk (in summer) and the opportunity for keen birdwatchers to see many species of woodland and song birds in their native habitat.
