Stanton

Stanton is a quiet, unspoilt Cotswold village which provides a peaceful haven along the Cotswold Way. The older cottages are built from the golden Cotswold stone in the typical architectural style of the area. The Mount pub is a popular resting place for walkers, enjoying amazing views towards Wales and the Malverns.

The village church is worth a visit and, if you have energy to spare, perhaps an exploration of Shenbarrow Camp, an Iron Age fort which stands over the village, might be ventured.

Arriving towards the end of the day will allow a restful end to the first day's walking with the opportunity to soak up some amazing scenery in a quiet, rural location before heading off to your accommodation for a good night's sleep!

Stanton is approximately ten miles along the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden.
